Motorola has launched the 2024 Moto G Power 5G, one of the affordable smartphones that the company has in its portfolio. As the successor to the 2023 model, the new phone brings a good number of updates. More specifically, we see improvement in the cameras, battery, and the SoC.
Even with all these upgrades, the 2024 Motorola Moto G Power still remains a proper affordable smartphone. The unlocked variant of the smartphone will be available for purchase starting from March 29 at $300. And if you pick it up from carriers, you will definitely get better deals and prices on the smartphone.
Main Highlights of the 2024 Motorola Moto G Power 5G
As mentioned earlier, the 2024 Motorola Moto G Power 5G is a solid budget-friendly smartphone. Under the hood, it comes with the Dimensity 7020 SoC. It’s a mid-range chipset that can offer better performance than the Dimensity 930 found inside the 2023 model.
Gizchina News of the week
Motorola paired the chipset with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS storage. While this RAM capacity is just enough for today’s standards, the Moto G Power 5G has a virtual RAM feature. With that, you can get an additional 8 GB of memory.
On the front, the 2024 Motorola Moto G Power 5G comes with a 6.7-inch screen. That’s 0.2 inches more than the 2023 model, which is a good and a bad thing. The good side is that you get more screen real estate, allowing immersive viewing. But it makes the smartphone a little less compact.
The good news is that the screen is still an IPS with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Besides, the Motorola Moto G Power 5G has improved cameras. The back has a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS, which is paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide that can double as a macro camera.
Other highlights of the smartphone include Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and NFC.
