Until today, the POCO X6 series comprised two smartphones—POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro. Today this changes with a new smartphone in the lineup, the POCO X6 Neo. It has been released in India, which also marks its global debut. The smartphone is expected to come in more countries soon.
The POCO X6 Neo is the cheapest one in the lineup. This also means that the specifications are lowered to bring the price down. POCO X6 Neo Design
Our protagonist carries a similar design language compared to other recently released POCO smartphones. There is a huge rectangular island on the back of the device, carrying the cameras. While the frame is kept flat and it gives the device a sleek look. It has a thin 7.7mm chassis and measures 175g. Hence, the device is quite slim and lightweight. Talking about the colors, there are three options: Astral Black, Horizon Blue, and Martian Orange.

Before we move on to specifications, you should know that the POCO X6 Neo is a rebranded Redmi Note 13R Pro 5G which was only launched in China. Hence, the specifications of both the smartphones are identical. Starting from the front, the POCO X6 Neo comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with 394 PPI. To make things buttery smooth, the display has a 120Hz refresh rate. Other fancy features include 1920Hz PWM dimming, 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate, 1000 nits peak brightness level, and finally the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
In the camera department, the smartphone has two sensors on the back. The primary one is the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 and the secondary is a 2MP depth sensor. On the front side, there is a 16MP shooter resting in a punch-hole notch.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC. It comes with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Moving to the software department, it comes out of the box with MIUI 14 on top of Android 13. The company promises 2 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates. Lastly, the battery is of 5000mAH capacity and can be fast charged at 33W.
Pricing
Currently, the smartphone is available in India. We anticipate POCO to launch this model in other parts of the world soon. The phone has two variants in India with 8/128GB and 12/256GB configurations. They are priced at Rs.15,999 (~$193) and Rs.17,999 (~$217) respectively.
