The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 was the company’s first smartphone to feature a 3.4-inch cover display. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Flip3 had tiny 1.9-inch Displays. As per a new report, the company is satisfied with the change and is ready to raise the display size in the next generation. As per the trustworthy, @TheGalox_, Samsung will raise the external cover display of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip6. The next foldable will come with a 3.9-inch outer display and will be covered with Gorilla Glass Armor.

It’s an interesting change for foldable smartphones with a clamshell form factor. It also gives Samsung more options when it comes to the features that will be offered in the cover display. Besides the new display size, Samsung is also expected to go with a 6.7-inch main screen. It will also feature an improved hinge and internal layout. The smartphone will also be equipped with a bigger cooling system ensuring performance and efficiency. The device is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 paired with up to 12 GB of RAM which would be the first time Samsung offers more than 8 GB RAM on its Flip series.
When it comes to the optics, the next flip phone will have a pair of sensors. There will be a 50 MP Main Camera alongside a 12 MP ultrawide module. The Korean firm will also offer some Galaxy AI features and 7 years of software and security updates just like the Galaxy S24 series.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is rumored to get a 4,000 mAh battery. It is a welcome upgrade over its predecessor’s 3,700 mAh cell. Samsung is expected to announce its Galaxy Z Flip6 at the Galaxy Unpacked in July alongside the Galaxy Fold6 and the Galaxy Ring.
