All the High-end Features of Edifier STAX SPIRIT S5

There are a good number of features that make the Edifier STAX SPIRIT S5 worth the asking price. Among them are:

Planar Magnetic Drivers

The Edifier STAX SPIRIT S5 wireless headphones pack planar magnetic drivers. These bring a larger driving area than traditional diaphragms. This results in lower distortion, good transient response, and a wider frequency range. Plus, the ultra-thin diaphragm has a base material that’s only 2 μm thick.

Edifier didn’t skimp on the build quality. The STAX SPIRIT S5 headphones use cowhide earmuffs. That, combined with a pressure-reducing headband pad, makes the headset deliver a comfortable fit. There’s also a rotating shaft, which ensures a secure fit.

89ms latency is very high, I am guessing this was with a poor BT codec like ldac or aptx hd, hopefully the latency is far lower with hi res wireless codec like 20-30ms.
