Realme has added another phone to its 12 series of smartphones. Previously, we saw the launch of Realme 12, 12+, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro+. The fifth member of the lineup is the Realme 12X, and it brings a good set of great specs for the price.
Of course, as of now, Realme has announced the phone only for China. However, as the rest of the devices within the lineup are already available outside the Chinese region, the Realme 12X can also make a global debut soon.
Main Highlights of Realme 12X
One of the main highlights of the Realme 12X is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+. It’s a lower mid-range SoC that brings eight cores. Realme has paired the SoC up with 12 GB of RAM, which makes the phone capable of running most resource-intensive apps. And if you want more, you can use the Virtual RAM feature to get another 12 GB.

As for the storage, the Realme 12X comes tops at 512 GB, with the base variant featuring 256 GB of storage. On the front, the phone sports a 6.67-inch LCD screen that has 625 nits peak brightness rating. It also features a 120 Hz refresh rate to offer a smooth experience.
Camera-wise, the front houses an 8 MP selfie shooter, while the back has a dual camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50 MP unit, and it’s paired with a 2 MP depth sensor.
Other highlights of the Realme 12X include a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W wired charging, IP54 certification, and a lightweight body. When it comes to the price, the base model costs CNY 1,399, which is around $194. The other variant with 512 GB of storage is CNY 1,599, about $222. However, note that these are introductory offers, and the prices will increase to around $208 and $229 after the promo phase.
