Motorola will unveil its new premium Motorola Edge series smartphone on April 3 in India. The device dubbed Motorola Edge 50 Pro has been teased in the past few days and even got its microsite on India’s Flipkart. The device will carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and will offer some solid specifications for the upper mid-range market. Unsurprisingly, this smartphone won’t be the only model in line. If there is a Pro, we can also expect a vanilla Motorola Edge 50. However, it seems that we will also get a Motorola Edge 50 Fusion variant. It will sit in the lower end according to the recently-spotted Geekbench benchmark.
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Key Specifications Revealed in Geekbench
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion appeared in the Geekbench online database. The device ran Geekbench 6 tests and achieved a single score of 913 points. In the multi-core department, it reached an interesting 2,629 score. Under the hood, the smartphone carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM. To those unfamiliar, the SD 6 Gen 1 is the lower offering in the Snapdragon Gen series. It has 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. It’s a modest chipset for everyday app usage and basic gaming.

Geekbench also confirms the phone with Android 14 straight out of the box. However, at this point, this is hardly a surprise. Thanks to previous leaks, we know this smartphone will sport a 6.7-inch pOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The phone has a 50 MP main camera and a 32 MP selfie snapper. It will come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It will have a large 5,000 mAh battery with 68W wired charging. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will sell in Peacock Pink, Tidal Teal, and Ballad Blue. The latter will come with a faux leather finish.
Right now, we don’t know exactly when the smartphone will be launched. However, we expect to hear more from Motorola soon. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will open the doors for this lineup on April 7, and the other variants should follow suit.
