Huawei Band 9 has made its official debut in the global market. As the successor of the Band 8, the new fitness tracker come with a good number of improvements. Also, like the predecessor, the new fitness band doesn’t skimp on the essentials. It is still loaded with health and fitness features.
As for pricing, Huawei has yet to shed light on that. But it should be close to Band 8, which sells for around $90 in the international markets. Also, the company has already started taking pre-order for the fitness tracker in Malaysia. So, you wouldn’t need to wait long to learn about the price tag of the device.
Main Highlights of Huawei Band 9
Like its predecessors, the Huawei Band 9 emphasizes comfort. To deliver that, the company has used skin-friendly materials for the overall build of the smart fitness tracker. This, according to Huawei, makes the band a good option for all-day wear. The company also says that the device weighs just 14 grams and is 8.99 mm thick. This enhances the comfort level even further.
Moving beyond comfort, the new fitness tracker is available in five different colors. They are: Lemon Yellow, Light Pink, Electric Blue, Sand White, and Stellar Black. All of them have a touch of uniqueness to them, which makes the smart band attractive on the hands.
Gizchina News of the week
On the front, the Huawei Band 9 comes with a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen. While it’s a sharp and bright screen, it appears to be the same screen as its predecessor. It would’ve been great to see a little sharper screen and slimmer bezels.
Other than that, the new fitness band can deliver up to 14 days of battery life. Also, it comes packed with multiple health and fitness features. For example, there’s TruSleep 4.0, which offers comprehensive sleep tracking. Huawei Band 9 also has 100 different workout modes, SpO2 and heart rate tracking, and TruSeen 5.5 vitals tracking support.
Hopefully, Huawei will keep the price competitive. Otherwise, the Band 9 will have a tough time against the Xiaomi Smart Band 8.
