Google Pixel users have been grappling with scrolling issues for quite some time, and these problems have persisted, even with the latest Pixel 8. However, Google has now announced that these scrolling issues should finally come to an end with the release of Android 15.
The Issue Tracker has been inundated with complaints dating back to October last year, with numerous Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro users reporting frequent stuttering while scrolling. This problem manifests across the system and in various apps as well.
About Half of Pixel 8 Users have Reported Scrolling Issues
In a poll conducted back in October, over 50% of 9to5Google readers reported noticing scrolling issues in specific apps, while more than 35% claimed they never experienced any scrolling issues.
Google, in an update shared on the thread (via Android Police), has stated that it has fixed the scrolling issue. According to Google, it fixed it as part of the “next Android release,” likely referring to Android 15.

Android 15 Availability for Pixel 8 Users
Android 15’s final release is still days away, as we’re currently only on the second developer preview stage. Users may have to wait until the official release of Android 15 to experience the fix for the scrolling issues on Pixel devices.
It’s not uncommon for tech companies to encounter and address recurring issues with each new product release. Similarly, Google has previously acknowledged and resolved scrolling issues with the Pixel line, as seen with the Pixel 7 and the rollout of fixes during Android 13’s release cycle.
Therefore, Pixel 8 users that are currently experiencing the scrolling issues should note that this issue will soon be a thing of the past after the official release of Android 15.
