Samsung has commenced the rollout of the One UI 6.1 update to its Galaxy AI to 9 flagship devices, introducing a range of new features and enhancements aimed at delivering an elevated user experience. While users are excitedly exploring the new features introduced by this major update, some have reported encountering issues with the Good Lock app following the installation of One UI 6.1.
After gathering user feedback, the Good Lock development team has compiled a list of issues that users have encountered following the One UI 6.1 update.
Get Navstar Before Upgrading to One UI 6.1
Users who enable transparent hints in Navstar are experiencing non-responsive keys on the AI introduction screen. This issue arises from an overlap between Navistar settings and the new navigation bar. Samsung is aware of this issue and is working on a fix, which will be released soon. Users who have not yet upgraded to One UI 6.1 should update Navistar first to prevent encountering this problem.
One UI 6.1 Always on Display Changes
One UI 6.1 update has adjusted the connected animation and setting structure for Always On Display (AOD):
1. The AOD clock is now synchronized with the lock screen clock and cannot be configured separately.
2. The manual brightness setting menu has been eliminated from the AOD settings.
For users who prefer separate settings for Always On Display (AOD) and lock screen, Good Lock will offer a solution with the forthcoming updates for Always On Display (ver 8.7.99.11) and LockStar (v6.1.0.11).
Cover Screen Bug in One UI 6.1
A recent modification allowing access to the Secure Folder app from the cover screen is causing a bug that prevents the Good Lock app from launching via the power button. The company will address this issue in the next software update.

Issues Related to Keyboard
Samsung has introduced new keyboard buttons to facilitate easier voice input with improved dictation performance. However, some users are reporting missing voice buttons, resulting in a blank space instead. Samsung is actively working to replicate and resolve this issue internally.
As a temporary solution, you can disable the “Show keyboard buttons in navigation bar” option in the default and additional keyboard settings.
Samsung has issued apologies for any inconvenience caused by these issues and assures users that they are working diligently to provide fixes. In the meantime, they have released new NavStar and AOD updates. These updates are here to address some of these issues.
One UI 6.1 Brings Improvements to AOD Settings
Samsung has rolled out a new update for its widely used Always On Display (AOD) app, now at version 8.7.96.15, designed for Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1. This update focuses on resolving various issues and improving the overall user experience.
The latest update addresses a previous issue where widgets were not visible on the lock screen after users entered or exited Ultra Power Saving Mode. Fortunately, the company has resolved this problem. This will ensure that widgets now display correctly on the lock screen.
The new update also resolves an issue where carrier and notification icons overlapped in the status bar of the lock screen after a reboot. This fix ensures a cleaner and more organized display of icons on the lock screen status bar.
With the latest update, Samsung has resolved the alignment issue of the date and notification icons overlapping in the Always On Display. Users can now expect a smoother and glitch-free AOD experience with these fixes. If you haven’t updated yet, head to the Galaxy Store and download the latest version now.
Users can also access the update directly from the third-party app source link provided here. It’s worth noting that the Samsung AOD update is currently available for One UI 6.1 Galaxy devices. The company may expand to other devices soon.
