As per the report, the Google Pixel 8a will be featuring a 6.1-inch FHD+ display. It’s an OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh. With this, the upcoming phone could be the first to come with a high refresh rate display. To look back, the Pixel 7a came with a 90 Hz display. With this jump, Google could be offering a proper mid-range device with a good screen.

Regarding the chipset, it’s no surprise that the phone will feature Tensor G3. It’s customary for Google to make all the devices within the same Pixel lineup have the same SoC. Yes, the Tensor G3 isn’t the fastest mid-range processor around. But Pixels has never been about performance. Instead, it’s more of the software features.

Even the Battery Performance of the Pixel 8a Is Expected to be Good

Yogesh Brar has even shared details on the battery of the Pixel 8a. According to his report, the phone will be featuring a 4500 mAh cell with 27-watt fast charging. This means the battery performance will be as good as the regular Google Pixel 8, which is considered to be good.

As hinted earlier, it’s just the price that will be making the final decision. Reports suggest that Google Pixel 8a will be anywhere from $500 to $550. And that seems pretty much on point, as Pixel 7a launched at $499. If all these stay true, the recently launched Galaxy A55 will face some serious competition.
