After multiple leaks, Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi Turbo 3. It’s part of a new series called Turbo. As Wang Teng, the brand manager at Redmi, has explained, this new series will be a step below the K series. While the K smartphones go all-in on the hardware and offer the best high-end experience, the Turbo phones position themselves differently.
This new lineup is also classified as flagships, but they will not feature the most powerful SoC. Instead, it will be a class above the mid-range and a step below the high-end phones. That said, Xiaomi has now given us an official look at the design of the Redmi Turbo 3. Along with that, we got to know the launch date and the phone’s SoC information.
Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 3 Is Shaping Up To Be a Great Affordable Flagship

As some of us have speculated, the device is confirmed to pack the recently launched Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Gizchina News of the week
This positioning of the SoC makes the Redmi Turbo 3 much better than the mid-range devices, but it falls a little short of the current flagships. But the good news is that you won’t even notice that the smartphone doesn’t have the most powerful mobile SoC.
As revealed by Xiaomi, the Redmi Turbo 3 gets 1,754,299 points in AnTuTu, which is a very respectable score. For reference, the ROG Phone 8 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has the current highest score of 2,141,448 points. So, the new phone is indeed close to the current flagships.
When it comes to the design, the official teaser reveals that it will have a dual camera setup on the back. It also revealed that the Turbo 3 will be available in three color options.
