Redmi 13 Acquires IMDA and EEC certifications

Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce a new smartphone under the Redmi 13 moniker. The upcoming device should continue this lineup’s legacy of offering mid-range specifications at competitive price levels. The device in question appeared on the FCC certification website and now has been spotted on the IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) and EEC certification databases, which hints at an imminent launch.

Redmi 13 Appears in Multiple Certifications – Launch Draws Near

These certification databases revealed the Redmi 13 with model number 2404ARN45A and it seems to be the device’s variant for markets in Latin America. Unfortunately, neither EEC nor IMDA reveal the specifications for this smartphone. However, the FCC certification confirms the smartphone with a 5,000 mAh battery. The battery will come with support for 33W fast charging. This confirms the smartphone’s position in the market. It will be an entry-level smartphone like most of the devices in the Redmi numbered series. The FCC database also confirms HyperOS 1.0 running atop Android 14 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Gizchina News of the week

When it comes to the rumors about the Redmi 13, a recent report suggested it will sport a MediaTek Helio G88 processor. It may sound disappointing for those waiting for a full 5G smartphone this time around. The Helio G88 is a bit old at this point in terms of performance but still delivers an acceptable efficiency due to its 6nm manufacturing. The smartphone reportedly has the codename Moon and is said to launch in the Indian market as well. The report further states that the Redmi 13 will launch in some markets as POCO M6. That wouldn’t be a surprise as POCO smartphones are mostly rebranded Redmi smartphones.
