Previously, we wrote about the leaked cover cases of the iPhone SE 4 revealing the new design language. Now, a new leak has surfaced online revealing the specifications of the upcoming budget-friendly iPhone. For those unaware, the upcoming Apple iPhone SE 4 is expected to make a significant leap in the SE lineup. It will not only have a redesigned look but will also bring hardware enhancements. Now, let’s delve into each aspect of the upcoming phone based on the latest leak.
The leak is reported by Ithome, and comes from the source Nguyen Phi Hung. They share the complete specifications of the smartphone on Twitter. It does not only include the processor but even tiny details such as the weight, dimensions, and more. So let’s discuss each segment of the upcoming phone below based on the latest leak.
Appearance
The leak reveals that the iPhone SE 4 will have 148.5 x 71.2 x 7.8 mm dimensions. It will have a body weight of 166g. For comparison, the last generation of iPhone SE weighs 144g, making the upcoming model 20g heavier than the predecessor. Moving to the build quality, the phone has 7000 series aluminum alloy, and glass on the front and back which are not Ceramic Shield.
The leaker says that the front of the device resembles the iPhone 13 with FaceID and the rear is similar to the XR. This statement also coincides with the previous leak of the iPhone SE 4’s case covers.

Display
The iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED 60Hz panel. For comparison, the SE 3 featured a 4.7-inch display. Hence, it’s a big jump in the display size.
Camera
The iPhone SE 4 will have a single shooter on the rear side. It will be an IMX503, 1/2.55 inch, f/1.8 sensor. The leaker says that it will support 1080P Cinematic mode, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR, AI scene photography, and portrait mode. Unfortunately, the budget iPhone will again miss out on the night mode.
Performance and other stuff
Powering the phone will be the Apple A16 Bionic chip. Moreover, it will also feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon X70 baseband and Apple U1 UWB chip. For comparison, the iPhone SE 3 came with an Apple A15 Bionic chipset. Though, the A16 Bionic is also used on the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, hence we can say that the performance won’t be a cost-cutting for the budget smartphone. Talking about the memory, it will feature 6GB LPDDR5 RAM with options of 128GB / 512GB NVMe storage.
The leaker did not reveal an exact battery capacity but hinted at a battery in the 3000 mAh range. It will have 20W charered charging and 12W MagSafe wireless charging. Other than that the phone will feature Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C interface 2.0.
That said, this information is based on a leak and is not official yet. However, much of the stuff mentioned in the new leak coincides with the previous reports, which makes it look a bit credible. But as with any leak, it should be taken with a pinch of salt until the company itself reveals the information.
