Latest Report Says Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Will Be Larger Than Usual

Looking back, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was a relatively small-sized phone, especially when you compare it with the Ultra phones from the company. There have been reports in the past that suggested that the S24 FE will be 6.1-inch in size, like its predecessor. But this new report is hinting at a change of direction.

Instead of a 6.1-inch display, the report is saying that the Galaxy S24 FE will feature a 6.7-inch screen. If this holds true, the upcoming device will be the largest FE device that Samsung has ever offered. This large screen means that the upcoming affordable device could offer a Galaxy S24 Plus display experience but at a lower price.

While the 6.7-inch display rumor is intriguing, there’s a conflicting report from @OreXda suggesting a more standard 6.1-inch AMOLED panel. This size aligns better with the typical FE approach of offering a slightly smaller phone than the regular S24 (which has a 6.2-inch display). Of course, @OreXda wasn’t sure about the information when the tipster shared the display information.

Also, given the fact that the new report is coming from Weibo, we can’t fully discard it. Things will become a bit clearer when the dummy models leak. And that could happen very soon as the next Galaxy Unpacked is pretty much over the horizon.

Similar to past FE models, the S24 FE will reportedly boast impressive specs, potentially rivaling its pricier S24 siblings. According to reputable leaker @OreXda, the phone could house either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2400 chipset, both powerhouses found in the current S24 lineup.

Here’s a crucial detail to remember: the processor you get might depend on your location. Samsung often equips its phones with different chipsets in various regions. For instance, the US and Canada commonly get Samsung phones with Snapdragon processors. The other regions get the Exynos variant. We expect this trend to continue with the S24 FE.

Another leak, this time from a trusted source, hints at the S24 FE’s memory and storage. The phone will reportedly come with a whopping 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. These are the latest flagship standards, putting the S24 FE in a strong competitive position.

Battery life seems promising as well. @OreXda suggests a 4500 mAh capacity, which should translate to reliable performance compared to competitors.
