WhatsApp has been developing a feature since last year that would allow users to message unsaved contacts. That feature is yet to be rolled out to all users, but WhatsApp keeps working on similar features. It seems that the app wants to further allow users to easily interact with unsaved contacts. Now, WhatsApp started developing an in-app dialer that will allow users to call people on WhatsApp without saving their numbers.
WhatsApp To Ease the Process of Contacting Unsaved Contacts
The in-app dialer was spotted on WhatsApp for Android’s beta version 2.24.9.28. It would be as convenient as the ability to message unsaved contacts on WhatsApp. This can save you some time since you won’t need to go through the hassle of temporarily adding contacts to your address book even when you don’t plan to communicate with them frequently. The feature is perfect when you’re contacting a business or service contact just for information and don’t want to save the contact.

In addition, WhatsApp is also working on a feature dubbed “Hidden Group”. It allows users to hide groups in communities. The feature was spotted in beta version 2.24.9.20 of WhatsApp for Android. It would only let invited members find and join the group and allow community admins to find and remove it.
Unfortunately, it’s unclear when exactly these features will be released to users worldwide on the stable version. WhatsApp is known for doing rounds of beta testing before deploying new features. The feature that allows you to message unsaved contacts, for example, has been in development since last year and hasn’t reached the stable branch yet. That said, we could be months away from seeing these new features available for all users. Those enrolled in the beta program will be able to test and enjoy the new features ahead of the regular users.
