Vivo X100 series is expected to get a few more models. Previously, we reported on the anticipated joint launch of the Vivo X100s and X100 Ultra. Now the launch seems imminent as the X100s has been leaked revealing its design language. This leaked image is the first glimpse of the Vivo X100s in real life.
In the smartphone market, you can find devices with different design languages. Some people may prefer slightly rounded edges, while others prefer the flat frame design. Apple was the company that made the flat frame design relevant again, and then many companies followed it. The latest leak from GSMARENA suggests that Vivo might be going for an iPhone design approach with the X100s.
Vivo is going with a flat frame design for the X100s
Gizchina News of the week
The previous Vivo X100 model featured a curved display however this might be changed with the X100s model. The leaks reveal a textured finish with a lightly curved (2.5D) rear glass panel. The rear camera module is similar to the other Vivo X100 models. Moreover, the camera setup seems unchanged from the standard X100.
The phone’s design may bear resemblance to the flat design of the iPhone 15 Pro, but it is notably thinner. The Vivo X100s measures 7.89mm compared to 8.3mm for the iPhone. Additionally, the Vivo X100s comes with color options such as white, black, cyan, and a natural titanium-inspired shade.
That said, the device is likely to launch with the Dimensity 9300+, which is an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9300 used on previous models. Earlier leaks also suggested a 1.5K flat display and a focus on battery life. Hence, we can say that Vivo’s plan for the X100s is to make it a slightly enhanced version of the standard X100, especially for people who prefer flat displays instead of curved ones. The Vivo X100s along with the X100s Pro and X100 Ultra are expected to be launched in May.
