AnTuTu releases the list of top-performing mid-range and flagship smartphones every month. This helps consumers to know the best-performing devices in the market. It is essential for gamers, or those who want heavy usage with their smartphones. That said, let’s check out the top mid-range smartphones of April 2024 below.
The top 10 mid-range performing device list of April 2024 is now out (via GSMARNEA). AnTuTu benchmarks give a general idea of how smartphones perform. The April benchmark results showcase the ongoing competition between Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek Dimensity, two leading system-on-chip (SoC) brands powering Android smartphones. Snapdragon processors have a reputation for wider global compatibility, while Dimensity is known for competitive performance at potentially lower costs.
Benchmark results reveal Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is the winner
AnTuTu reveals that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is the winner in the mid-range segment. It powers the top 2 phones including the OnePlus Ace 3V and Realme GT Neo 6 SE. They get scores of 1,441,870 and 1,429,445 points respectively. The OnePlus Ace 3V’s top spot isn’t surprising given the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3’s focus on sustained performance and power efficiency. This suggests it excels in demanding tasks like gaming.

On the third spot is the Redmi K70e coming with the Dimensity 8300-Ultra. It gets a score of 1,378,953 points. Further down the list, two smartphones feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. While the remaining gets the power from the Dimensity chip.
It is interesting that out of 10 devices, only 4 feature Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The rest 6 devices get the power from Dimensity. To tackle this issue, Qualcomm has already introduced a new processor; Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It may change the results in favor of Qualcomm next month.
Predictions for next month
There are minimal changes on the list for this month. However, we expect major shake-ups next month as devices with the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 arrive. The OnePlus Ace 3V might be dethroned, with the Redmi Turbo 3 and iQOO Z9 Turbo as strong contenders. The reason behind this is the high benchmark scores of the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The AnTuTu benchmarks have revealed that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is capable of scoring around 1,523,930 points. This makes it deliver better performance than the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Hence, the next month’s list may change with more devices being powered by Qualcomm.
