Grand Theft Auto VI has had a grand reveal back in December of last year. Ever since the first trailer came out, there has been a good amount of anticipation for the launch date.
Well, the highly anticipated sequel from Rockstar Games finally has a narrowed release window: Fall 2025 (source). This news comes despite previous rumors suggesting a potential delay into 2026.
Take-Two Interactive Is Confident About the Fall 2025 Launch of GTA 6
Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, expressed confidence in the new release target during their latest earnings report. CEO Strauss Zelnick reiterated this optimism in an interview. The CEO stated the commitment to delivering the game by the Fall of 2025. That basically debunks the recent rumors about GTA 6 being delayed to 2026.
The first official trailer for GTA VI, set in the fictional Florida metropolis of Leonida, garnered record views on YouTube within 24 hours of release. While the initial release will be on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, PC players can expect a wait. We don’t even have an exact timeframe for the PC version. Hopefully, the launch of GTA 6 on PC doesn’t have a similar story as GTA V. To fill you in, the predecessor first launched for consoles in 2013, but PC gamers had to wait till 2015. Of course, it’s worth noting that the PC version was better than the rest. So, in one way or another, the wait was worth it.
