Samsung Galaxy Ring Price Leaks; There Will Be A Monthly Subscription For It

Samsung gave a new step into the wearable segment with the Samsung Galaxy Ring Reveal in February. The new kind of tech wearable is yet to get all its details and features revealed, as we’ve got a simple teaser in February. There is still much information that we don’t know about this smart ring, and the pricing has been one of the big questions, until now. A new leak emerged from the trustworthy Yogesh Brar with a possible price for the upcoming Galaxy Ring.

Samsung Galaxy Ring To Cost Under $400 and Will Include a Monthly Subscription

According to the tipster Yogesh Brar, the US pricing for the Galaxy Ring will be in the $300-$350 range. Meanwhile, in India, the device will cost about INR 35,000. With that price tag, we can say that it is realistically close to a wide audience. Perhaps, not everyone will pay such an amount for a smart ring, but those who love to dive into new concepts will certainly give it a try. The more interesting fact, and one that may raise some eyebrows, is that there will be a subscription. We don’t know exactly what this subscription means for the end product. It’s not clear whether this is mandatory for the features or something that will come for an enhanced experience. We will have to wait for further clarification.

Gizchina News of the week

Galaxy Ring

There will be a monthly subscription “under $10” to Samsung Health. This is something that Samsung Electronics VP Dr. Hon Pak hinted at in a CNBC review when the ring was initially unveiled. For instance, Fitbit has its Premium subscription at $10/month for a year, and Apple Fitness+ costs the same. Finally, the Oura Ring which stands as a direct competitor for the Galaxy Ring has a membership subscription of $6/month or $70/year.

The big question here is what exactly Galaxy Ring plans to offer. Rumors are pointing to integration with services like Samsung Food, which might provide more detailed meal plans and diet suggestions. The info may be calibrated with all the info being sent by the Ring. We expect more details to surface soon.
