Oppo has reintroduced the Pad Air2 in China, and it’s positioned as a cheap Android tablet for meeting entertainment needs. With a starting price of CNY 1,299 (about $182), it brings MediaTek Helio G99, an 11.4-inch screen with 2.4K resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate, quad speaker setup, and 8,000 mAh battery.
Worth noting that the Pad Air2 has been in the market since last year. This launch is introducing the Aurora Purple colorway of the tablet.
A Closer Look Into the Oppo Pad Air2
The Oppo Pad Air2 Aurora Purple has launched alongside the Reno12 series in China. It’s an affordable Android tablet that comes at a starting price of CNY 1,299 (around $182), with the top-end variant coming in at CNY 1,699 (about $225). The base variant features 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, while the maxed-out configuration has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Under the hood, the Android tablet sports the MediaTek Helio G99, a mainstream ARM CPU from 2022. While the processor is a bit old now, it still has what it takes to smoothly handle light to moderate tasks. The tab mainly aims to meet entertainment needs.

On the front, the Pad Air2 comes with an 11.4-inch display that sports a 2.4K resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. This display also has a 7:5 screen ratio, a rated brightness of 400 nits, a 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and multiple features to enhance viewing comfort.
Another entertainment-focused spec of the Android tablet is its quad-speaker setup. It can deliver up to 86 dB of sound, has support for Dolby Atmos, and is Hi-Res Audio certified. The tab also comes with Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX HD and LDAC support.
As for the cameras, the Oppo Pad Air2 has an 8 MP selfie shooter on the front and an 8 MP single camera on the back. The tablet has an 8,000 mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charging. Software-wise, it runs on ColorOS 13.1, which is based on Android 13.
