Back in the last week, Xiaomi took the wraps off the Redmi Pad Pro in global markets. The new tablet is an interesting offering for those who want a premium mid-range tablet with a nice set of features. The company announced that there will be a 5G variant for global markets as well. Despite the global release, India is yet to receive the new slate. However, that may change soon as a Redmi Pad Pro variant with model number 2405CRPFDI has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards Certification (BIS). Take a look at the details.
Redmi Pad Pro Spotted at BIS Certification
Gizchina News of the week
The Redmi Pad Pro appeared on the BIS Certification with model number 2405CRPFDI. Note that the “I” represents the Indian variant. Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal anything about the specifications. Anyway, we expect it to be close to the regular variant. The company is also expected to launch the 5G variant in India, and the BIS certification hints at an imminent release. The 5G variant should retain the same specifications as the regular variant but will bring a 5G modem for cellular connectivity.
The Redmi Pad Pro is equipped with a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 2.5K resolution. The tablet has 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The tablet also boasts an 8 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing snapper. It is equipped with a huge 10,000 mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. The Redmi Pad is compatible with Redmi Stylus and a Keyboard. Under the hood, it carries the excellent Qualcomm Snpadragon 7s Gen 2 CPU, an Adreno 710 GPU and up to 8 GB of RAM.
The Redmi Pad Pro is an excellent tablet for some working while on the go, and also for study. The large screen is also excellent for media consumption and even for some gaming. The large battery and the efficient processor ensures a great endurance. It certainly will arrive as a great option for the Indian market.
