Redmi Pad Pro 5G Has Been Certified by TENAA

Xiaomi recently introduced the Redmi Pad Pro in global markets, and will soon bring it to the Indian market. The Pro variant joins the Redmi Pad and the Redmi Pad SE, bringing some differentials over its siblings like the excellent Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Apart from the upgrades over the vanilla variant, there is no cellular connectivity on the current variant. That will change soon as CEO Lei Jun promised a 5G version for its tablet. Now, we have concrete evidence of its imminent release: The Redmi Pad Pro 5G has been certified by TENAA in China.

Redmi Pad Pro 5G Has Been Spotted in TENAA

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G appeared in the popular Chinese certification with the model number 24074RPD2C with the “C” standing for China. Interestingly, the 5G version should also see a global release as other variants have been revealed: 24074RPD2G (Global) and 24074RPD2I (India).

Apart from an obvious 5G modem, the new version should have a few specs like the current Wi-Fi-only model. Considering this, we should see the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It will carry 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of Internal Storage. The slate will also bring a 12.1-inch 120Hz IPS LCD screen with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels of resolution. The slate comes with an 8 MP rear camera with 1080p video recording. There is also an 8 MP selfie snapper for high-quality video calls.

The tablet is a great contender for multimedia with a Quad-Speaker arrangement for immersive audio. It also has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port. One of the tablet’s greatest highlights is its 10,000 mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. The Redmi Pad Pro also runs Android 14-based with HyperOS running atop.

According to Lei Jun, the new version will support the Network Sync like the Wi-Fi variant. For those unaware, the Network Sync is a One-Tap solution to connect the tablet to your phone’s hotspot. However, that may not be so useful on a tablet that brings 5G connectivity. Anyway, it’s nice to have one more feature than one less.

Now, there is an interesting fact. The Xiaomi 14 has a model number 23127PN0CC model number. It was announced in 2023 in December (hence 2312). So the 2407 model in the Redmi Pad Pro 5G might suggest a July launch. We expect to hear more about it shortly.
