Unveiling the Realme Narzo N65: Stylish, and Budget-Friendly

Realme has launched a new phone under its Narzo lineup. For those unaware, the Narzo series is targeted at the budget market. The latest phone to arrive is the Realme Narzo N65. The phone is made for budget-conscious consumers, who don’t want to spend a lot on a new phone. Let’s check out all the details regarding the phone including its design, specifications, features, pricing, and availability.

Design

 Realme Narzo N65

The Narzo N65 opts for a circular camera cutout on the rear side. This is a trending design language in the smartphone market. Thanks to it, the Narzo N65 does not appear too cheap but looks stylish. Another highlight is the color options. It does not come in basic options as Realme launched the phone in two unique options. These options are  Amber Golf and Deep Green giving a spicier touch to the phones. The Narzo N65 measures and weighs 165.6 x 76.1 x 7.89 mm and weighs 190g.

Realme Narzo N65 Specifications & Features

The Realme Narzo N65 features a 6.67-inch LCD panel. It has a resolution of 720×1604 pixels. Realme is marketing the phone’s high 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate for a smoother feel. Moreover, it also has a 625-nit peak brightness. The additional features such as a high refresh rate are good, but having an FHD+ screen would be a much better option. As a technology enthusiast, I would likely choose a FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate than a 720p display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For comparison, there are many phones available with a higher resolution such as Moto G64, etc. Nonetheless, the device’s front boasts a sleek punch-hole notch, avoiding the teardrop design.

Gizchina News of the week

In the camera department, the phone features a 50MP primary shooter. On the front, an 8MP shooter is serving the need for selfies. Realme’s official website states the camera has multiple modes such as night mode, portrait, etc. Hence, the phone provides a decent camera package in this price range.

Now let’s talk about the performance of the phone. Realme opted for MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC for this phone. It is an 8-core processor based on a 6nm process. In easy words, it is a decent chip that can offer good day-to-day usage and moderate gaming experience. However, the highlight is that it is a 5G-ready chip enabling modern connectivity on the phone. Furthermore, the Realme Narzo N65 comes with a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. This is in contrast with other phones in the market. However, the 5000mAh capacity is sufficient and also helps the phone maintain a sleeker appearance.

In the software department, the phone shines with Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. Realme also highlights another perk of the phone. It is IP54-certified for dust and splash resistance. The certification is a good add-on considering the price tag. This is something that you will not find in most budget phones.

Pricing & Availability

Realme Narzo N65 will go on sale in India starting May 31. It is available in two variants: 4/128GB and 6/128 GB. They are priced at Rs.11,499 (~$138) and Rs.12,499 (~$150) respectively. In this price range, the phone will compete against iQOO Z9x, and Moto G64 to name a few. However, with the lack of an FHD+ display and no big highlights (like the 6000mAh battery on the Moto G64), the Narzo N65 does not stand out. Additional details can be found on Realme’s official website.

Conclusion

The Narzo N65 is a budget-oriented smartphone. It does not have a big highlighting feature but has a decent overall package. It does not appear cheap, has decent performance, and also has additional features such as the IP54 certification. However, Realme should bring at least an FHD+ display in this range to stay competitive.
