Xiaomi has unveiled its latest addition to the Redmi Note series, the Redmi Note 13R. This new smartphone comes equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen2 processor and the company’s own HyperOS system, making it an attractive option for those seeking a balance of performance and affordability. This device has now officially commenced sales in China.
Design and Display
The Redmi Note 13R boasts a sleek and modern design, featuring a new magnetic control ink process and a double-sided glass body. The phone also sports a neat right-angle frame and ring flash design, available in three stylish colours – light sea blue, ice crystal silver, and midnight black.
The device’s display is a 6.79-inch LCD high-refresh eye-protection screen with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 and a peak brightness of 550nit. It supports different refresh rates, including 30/48/50/60/90/120Hz, and comes with full DC dimming. The Redmi Note 13R has also obtained several certifications from TÜV Rheinland, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience with hardware-level low blue light, rhythm-friendly, and flicker-free features.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 13R is powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 4 leading processor, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The CPU has a maximum frequency of 2.3GHz, ensuring smooth performance for everyday tasks and light gaming. To keep the lights on, the Redmi Note 13R has a 5030mAh battery (typical value). This battery also supports 33W wired fast charging.

The Redmi Note 13R features a dual camera setup on the back. It consists of a 50-megapixel ultra-clear primary sensor (1/2.76″, 0.64um, F1.8) and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel front camera.
In addition to the camera system, the Redmi Note 13R offers several other features. This includes infrared remote control, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP53 dust and water resistance. The device also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for secure and convenient unlocking.

The top-tier variant, featuring 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs 2,199 yuan ($304). At the moment, this device is exclusively available through China Unicom’s official mall. It is not officially available on Xiaomi Mall.
