Realme is preparing to launch its next phone, the Realme GT 6. Being a GT phone, the focus of the phone will be performance as we have seen with past GT models. Moreover, this phone also marks the revival of the GT series in the global market. The last global release of a GT model was 2 years ago, and hence Realme is preparing to make the GT 6 model even special. Before the phone goes official, we have some key specifications leaked revealing many interesting elements of the phone. Let’s check it out below.
Leak Suggests Premium Built and High-end Specifications
The leak comes from Digital Chat Station (via Ithome), a reputable source in the tech world. According to their new post, the Realme GT 6 will bring a “1.5K 8T LTPO BOE ultra-narrow straight screen.” In simpler words, it means that the display is going to be high-resolution, and it is going to be flat. This makes sense as the Realme GT lineup is usually liked by gamers, and they would likely prefer a flat display. Additionally, the source mentions an ultra-narrow screen, hence expect it to be visually pleasing.
The second element revealed is the addition of a metal frame and glass body. Thus, Realme is avoiding cost-cutting with the GT 6 models. Many times it happens that a high-performing device ends up with a plastic build, as we saw with the POCO F6. However, with the GT 6, it seems like Realme wants to go all premium. The other key specifications revealed are Snapdragon 8 Gen 3; a flagship processor with impressive performance. Moreover, it is also equipped with 120W fast charging support and a big battery. This confirms that the GT 6 is indeed targeted at heavy users. Lastly, in the camera department, the phone will feature a 50MP flagship main camera but misses out on a telephoto lens.
Gizchina News of the week
Previously, the box packaging of Realme GT 6 was leaked and was covered by reputable sources like GSMARENA. However, that leak showed that the phone comes with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which is not aligned with a leak from Digital Chat Station. Hence, the leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt, and we should wait for an official confirmation before getting too excited.
Realme CEO hints that AI is a big highlight of Realme GT 6
Earlier, Realme’s CEO Sky Li was featured on Forbes. In the interview with Forbes, he mentioned that the Realme GT 6 is marking the comeback of the GT lineup in the global market. Furthermore, he states that:
The competition in the industry will shift from hardware alone to a combination of hardware, software, and overall technological capability. AI is becoming the next hotly contested spot, AI imaging, voice and interaction will be the three major trends on the future development of AI.”
Hence, AI will be a major highlight as evident from the CEO’s quote. Hopefully, the phone arrives in the market soon so we can other all of its aspects.
