Honor 200 series steps outside China with competitive price tags

Honor 200 series

Honor has launched its Honor 200 series in international markets. The phones in the series offer powerful specs and a camera system designed to impress. This exciting news comes alongside the already available, affordable Honor 200 Lite.

Honor 200 Pro: A Photography Powerhouse

Honor 200 Pro

The star of the show is the Honor 200 Pro. It boasts a stunning 6.78-inch OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and exceptional brightness. Under the hood, there’s a fast 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Honor paired it with 12GB of RAM to ensure seamless performance.

But the real magic lies in the camera system. Honor has teamed up with the prestigious Studio Harcourt to fine-tune the Honor 200 Pro’s cameras. The collab is particularly for the AI Portrait Engine. This collaboration promises to elevate your portrait photograph. You get exquisite lighting and shadow effects reminiscent of Studio Harcourt’s renowned craftsmanship.

The phone features a “Triple 50MP Portrait Camera” system. This setup includes a wide sensor, a zoom lens, a 50MP selfie camera, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor with autofocus. This powerhouse setup is further bolstered by an upgraded Honor RAW Domain Algorithm. It ensures balanced portraits in any lighting condition.

The Honor 200, while less extravagant than its Pro sibling, still packs a serious punch. It features a near-identical display with a sharp OLED panel and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a capable 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, available with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM.

The camera system is impressive as well. It features a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens (likely the same as the Pro), and a 12MP ultrawide sensor with autofocus. On the front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera. It does miss the secondary depth sensor found in the Pro model.

Both the Honor 200 and 200 Pro boast a massive 5,200mAh battery, ensuring you can stay connected all day long. The Pro version offers the fastest wired charging at 100W, while the standard Honor 200 comes with 100W wired charging as well.

If you’re looking for an affordable option, the Honor 200 Lite, already available globally, is a compelling choice. It boasts a powerful 108MP main camera with a high-resolution mode and a 50MP selfie shooter. The phone runs on a capable 6nm Dimensity 6080 processor and is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery with 35W charging.

Pricing and Availability

The new phones are currently available to buy through Honor’s website and major retailers. The Honor 200 and 200 Pro are available for pre-order now and will go on general sale on June 26th. The Pro model costs £700 and comes with a free Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 Bluetooth speaker. The non-Pro costs £500 and includes a free JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi speaker (both speaker offers depend on stock availability).

Overall, both the Honor 200 and 200 Pro are feature-packed phones at a competitive price. The Pro model is particularly for the ones that want to take photography to the next level.
