Vivo Y28 4G Launched With 6,000mAh Battery

Vivo Y-series focuses on the budget market. The lineup has now received a new phone named the Vivo Y28 4G. Following in the footsteps of its siblings, the Y28 4G is also an affordable smartphone. The biggest highlight of the phone is its big battery, making it a phone for users with extensive usage. Let’s check out all the specifications, features, highlights, and pricing details of the Vivo Y28 4G below.

Stylish Design

Vivo Y28 4G

Vivo Y28 4G has a big camera module on the back, giving it a bold look. However, it does not appear too cheap and is even appealing in the two color options. It also features a “Metallic High-Gloss Frame”, giving the device a stunning look. Moreover, on the camera module, there is a Dynamic Light, which syncs with notifications, music, or even a timer for images.

The phone weighs 199 grams, which is acceptable considering the big battery. From the front, the company has also brought the punch-hole selfie camera which looks modern compared to the teardrop notch which is common in budget phones. The Vivo Y28 4G is available in two color options including Agate Green and Gleaming Orange.

Specifications & Features

The smartphone features a 6.68-inch LCD panel. Unfortunately, it has a resolution of 720×1608 pixels. To make it up, the company has given a 90Hz refresh rate. However, the addition of a FHD+ display would have been better. Moving forward, the phone has a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter.

Gizchina News of the week

Powering the phone is the Helio G85 SoC. This is a budget-oriented chipset with 8 cores and is based on 12nm architecture. This is an old processor, and hence it also supports only 4G networks. Don’t expect any high-end performance, the chip can handle day-to-day tasks like social media or browsing the internet.

Vivo Y28 4G

Moving to a big highlight of the phone, the Vivo Y28 4G has a 6,000mAh battery capacity. For comparison, the market has typically 5000mAh battery phones. Hence, this is where the Vivo Y28 4G shines. The big battery can be charged at 44W. The addition of a big battery and a low-resolution display will allow the Vivo Y28 4G to last a long time, making it ideal for users who do not like to charge their phones often.

Other notable features of the phones include the IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, giving peace of mind to the users. Moreover, it also has dual stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. More information can be explored on Vivo’s official website.

Pricing & Availability

The Vivo Y28 4G is now available in Singapore. It comes with an 8/256GB variant and is priced at SGD 269 translating roughly to 199 USD. The phone may launch in other markets as well, so stay tuned for that.
