Realme has released its new smartphone, the Realme GT 6. This marks the return of the Realme GT lineup in the global market. Like the previous GT smartphones, the Realme GT 6 also focuses on high performance. It is targeted at heavy users including gamers. Moreover, Realme has also spiced up the experience by integrating AI into the smartphone. In this article, we will delve deep into each aspect of the phone including its design, specifications, features, and pricing.

Design

Realme GT 6

The Realme GT 6 does not appear cheap at all. It sports a stylish look with its reflective finish which Realme calls the “Nano Mirror” design. It comes in shades of Razor Green and Fluid Silver options.  The phone features a prominent rectangular camera module in the upper left corner, housing three lenses, and an LED flash. This module design is functional and aesthetically pleasing, integrating smoothly into the phones’ overall minimalist style.  The phone has a thickness of 8.6mm and weighs 199 grams. For durability, Realme mentions the dual-reinforced forged glass ensuring a strong build and making it more resistant to scratches. It is also IP65 certified for peace of mind for users.

Specifications

Realme GT 6 features a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 2780*1264 pixels. Meanwhile, it also supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz and 2500 Hz touch sampling rate enabling a smooth gaming experience. The display on the phone is curved giving it a premium look. Moreover, there are also some other features such as 6000 nits peak brightness, which is the highest in a smartphone. However, the 6000 nits peak brightness is only useful for consuming HDR content. Realme GT 6 also brings Eye Protection 3.0 and 2160Hz PWM dimming for a flicker-free experience. For display protection, the company has opted for Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Realme GT 6

As mentioned above, the Realme GT lineup is popular due to its high performance. The Realme GT 6 keeps the same DNA and does not compromise on performance. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. It is an 8-core chipset based on 4nm architecture ensuring high performance and efficiency. The AnTuTu benchmark score of the processor is 1.5M+. Hence, users can expect a high gaming performance. Moreover, Realme has also included an Iceberg Cooling System ensuring low temperatures in extensive usage. The phone’s biggest competitor, the POCO F6 Pro opts for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which was last year’s flagship model and is identical to Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

The Realme GT 6 boasts a triple-camera setup on the rear. It is led by a primary 50 MP shooter, a 50 MP telephoto, and an 8 MP ultra-wide shooter. The main camera is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) for stabilized shots. For selfies, there is a 32 MP shooter on the front.

Battery is another highlight of the Realme GT 6 for two reasons. One it sports a big 5500 mAh capacity. Typically, we see phones with 5000 mAh capacity in this price range. Secondly, the Realme GT 6 brings 120W SuperVOOC fast charging. The phone comes out of the box with Android 14 OS with Realme UI 5.0 skin on top. In a nutshell, the device is a solid choice for heavy users, although it faces stiff competition, notably from the POCO F6, which features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 at a lower price.
