Honor has launched a new affordable phone in China. The Honor Play 60 Plus targets people who want a long-lasting battery experience. We will check out each aspect of the phone below including its design, specifications, features, and pricing.

Design

Honor Play 60 Plus

The Honor Play 60 Plus has a bolder appearance thanks to the big camera square camera module at the rear. The camera module has a stylish ring that either comes in golden or silver depending on the color option of the phone. The phone is available in three color options including  Phantom Black, Wonderland Green, and Moonlight White. On the front, the phone has a flat display with a punch-hole notch. Honor Play 60 Plus despite its big battery weighs 198 grams and has a thickness of 8.24mm. Moreover, the phone comes with an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, providing peace of mind for the users. This is something uncommon in this particular price range.

Specifications & Features

Honor Play 60 Plus features a 6.77-inch LCD screen. Unfortunately, it is limited to only HD+ resolution. However, the display supports a 120Hz refresh rate for a smoother experience. However, it would have been a better choice to opt for an FHD+ screen for a high-quality visual experience.

For photography, the phone depends on its dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary and a 2MP secondary lens. For selfies and video calls, it has a 5MP shooter on the front.

Powering the phone is the budget-oriented  Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. It is an 8-core chipset made to deliver basic day-to-day tasks such as browsing and social media applications. However, it is based on a 4nm process providing high efficiency.

One of the biggest highlights of the phone is its large 6000mAh battery. For comparison, phones in this range typically have a 5000mAh battery. Hence, the Honor Play 60 Plus comes with a focus on the battery segment. Moreover, it also supports 35W fast charging. The phone comes with MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. For security, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. For more information, visit Honor’s official website.
