Realme 12 4G Arrives with Snapdragon 685, OLED Display and More

Realme’s numbered smartphone series had been put on a hiatus in Pakistan. While the reasons for this absence had been unclear, the company decided to return this year with two new smartphones. Realme unveiled today the Realme 12+ and the new Realme 12 4G in the market. While the Realme 12+ is the same as the global variant, the Realme 12 4G is a new smartphone for this particular market.

Realme 12 4G Key Specifications

The new Realme 12 4G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685. The new chip uses a 6nm process and continues the design of the Snapdragon 680 with a 4G modem. It is the same chipset on the Realme 12 Lite, but has a few changes compared to other models. For instance, one of the most notable features is the presence of an OLED display.

While most of the mid-ranges in this category bring LCD screens, Realme is bringing a gorgeous OLED screen with 6.67 inches and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel has 2,400 x 1,080 pixels of resolution and 2,000 nits peak brightness. The device also has an unnamed strengthened glass. Also, with the OLED screen the fingerprint scanner now sits under the display. It’s one of the few 4G phones with an under-screen scanner.

Gizchina News of the week

A similar main camera is seen on the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. There is also a 2 MP depth sensor and the selfie shooter is a 16 MP camera.
