iQOO is preparing for the launch of their new performance-oriented smartphone: the iQOO Neo 9S Pro+. This will play the role of successor to the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. Being an iQOO device, it will follow in the footsteps of providing high performance for gamers and heavy users. Before the launch, the key specifications of the phone are revealed by Jia Jingdong, Vivo’s vice President for Brand and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy. Information from Jia Jingdong (via Ithome) confirms that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It is the flagship tier chipset, and hence we expect no compromise in performance. The 8-core processor is based on 4nm architecture providing high efficiency. Moreover, the gaming performance of the phone will be further improved with the addition of iQOO’s custom Q1 graphics chip. This will be a treat to gamers as this chip allows more power to be drawn for gaming.

The second highlight of the iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ is the big 5,500mAh capacity battery. Compared to the typical 5000mAh capacity, iQOO is giving a bigger battery but also fast charging. The phone is said to have a fast charging support of 120W. Even though the battery capacity is bigger, the phone still has a 7.99mm thickness.

Lastly, the third highlight is the addition of an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. This will be a better option for enhanced security, and provide a faster unlocking experience.

That said, the iQOO Neo 9s Pro+ is aiming to attract heavy users like gamers with its powerful chipset and big battery with fast charging. However, the price should be competitive to make its space in the market. We will have more information about the device once it gets official on July 11 in China.
