Apple Expected to Launch Desktop Robot with Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence

Apple is working to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) for the home. Forget updates to your HomePod or Watch – Apple’s first home device with their new “Apple Intelligence” technology will be a whole new product: a smart robot friend for your table, according to a new report from Bloomberg and other reliable sources.

Apple to Launch Desktop Robot with Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence launches later this year, but only on newer iPhones, iPads, and Macs. This means the super-powered Siri features won’t be on your existing devices like the HomePod or Watch (not yet, anyway). There were rumors of a smarter HomePod, but it seems Apple has something even cooler in mind.

Gizchina News of the week

Mark Gurman, a tech expert, explains, “People hoping for Apple Intelligence on their smart home devices will have to wait for the robot I’ve been talking about for a while.”

Back in April, Gurman first hinted at Apple’s robot plans. This tabletop robot seems to be the most advanced one they’re working on, but it’s still early days. Here’s what Gurman shared:

“Apple is also making a special desk robot with a screen that can move. This screen might even follow your head movements during video calls, just like nodding your head in real life. It might also be able to track one person in a busy video conference.”

It makes sense that older smart home devices won’t get Apple Intelligence right away. They might not be powerful enough to handle all the AI features. We’re also not sure what’s happening with the rumored screen-equipped HomePod – there were code hints about it just last week. Maybe the company is still working on it, but the robot seems to be the main focus now.

There aren’t many details yet about this exciting new robot, but what do you think? Let us know in the comments!
