Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Reaches Xbox and PC Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft is bringing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 to Xbox Game Pass today, July 24. After rumors and speculations, Microsoft confirms this with the announcement. It’s an important milestone because Modern Warfare III is the first COD title to arrive on Game Pass after Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Lands on Xbox Game Pass

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will reach Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The announcement comes right after Game Pass had a price hike announced by the Big M back in the last week.

While this is the first, it certainly won’t be the last COD series game to hit the Game Pass. Microsoft already confirmed that Black Ops 6 will arrive on Xbox Game Pass. It will reach consoles as a Day One release in October 2024. It’s a big twist, in special, for the competitors that will have the game sold at full price.

Gizchina News of the week

Modern Warfare 3 is joining the service before Black Ops 6 and the interesting bit is it’s the full game package. The release includes the campaign, multiplayer, and even the Zombies game mode. It remains unclear, however, if DLC will be included in the Game Pass offering.

The game may not be the most popular in the COD series. It had a controversial release with mixed reviews and criticism over the game’s short campaign. Anyway, the inclusion can be seen as part of a strategic effort by Microsoft to add value for subscribers following the recent price hikes. The game received a 51% increase while the PC Game Pass saw a 28% increase. Interestingly, the arrival of Call of Duty MW3 on Game Pass was reported by eXtas1stv on X. Now, the same source speculates that Valorant will reach the console on July 26.

The release on Game Pass comes right in time for the Season 5 arrival. The feature update will include new maps, modes, weapons, and operators, including a collaboration with WWE. A mid-season update will introduce additional maps, modes, and weapons. Moreover, the WWE SummerSlam event will introduce the new Slam Deathmatch mode, starting on July 31.
