Moving around to the back we have a slightly protruding island. It houses three camera modules and an LED flash snapper. According to the leaks, the phone has a 50 MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization. The other two shooters are a 13 MP ultrawide lens and a 10 MP telephoto snapper. The front-facing camera is a 32 MP snapper.
According to the leaked data, the phone has a 4,400 mAh battery with 68W fast-charging support. The Motorola Edge 50 5G carries a 6.4-inch pOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate with Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. Despite the premium look and powerful cameras, the chipset means this phone is mostly premium mid-range oriented. This chipset is built on a 4nm process. It carries 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores at up to 2.6 GHz for performance tasks. There are also 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2 GHz for power efficiency. The graphics are handled by an ARM Mali-G615 MP2 GPU.
Besides the Motorola Edge 50 5G, we also expect the Motorola Edge 50 Neo and the Edge 50 Pro to appear at the event. It remains to be seen which one will carry the MIL-810 certification, and also, how thin Motorola made it to comply with the world’s slimmest MIL-810 title.
