Google has never been very good at keeping its devices a secret. Since the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL, I can’t remember one year when we didn’t get all the details about Pixel devices months ahead of their respective release. The Google Pixel 9 series isn’t an exception to this rule, and this week has been particularly crazy regarding the amount of leaks.
Google Pixel 9 Color Options Revealed
Following a previous leak today of promo videos for the Pixel 9 family and official cases for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro, now the vanilla Pixel 9 has leaked in all the color options in which it will arrive.
The new leak confirms the Google Pixel 9 coming in the Obsidian, Porcelain, Rose, and Green color options. The leaked renders confirm all color tones and also show us the new camera design for the Google Pixel series. The search giant is changing the design of the camera island. It’s going to be oval-shaped this year and leaves the traditional visor design that we’ve been used to in the past Pixel generations.
Gizchina News of the week
Apart from the design change, there aren’t big changes coming to the Pixel 9 cameras. The device will have just two cameras just like its predecessor Pixel 8. The third, telephoto shooter sits within the Google Pixel Pro series. The more notable upgrades will be in the hardware of the Google Pixel 9. The new smartphone will make the jump to 12 GB of RAM and comes with a new Google Tensor G4 SoC.
Pixel 9 Specs Upgrades
The Tensor G4 promises big upgrades over its predecessor in performance, and certainly in AI processing. The processor is also allegedly coming with a much-improved modem. It will provide better connectivity when compared to the past Tensor generations.
The Google Pixel 9 will feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution. In terms of optics, it has a 50 MP main camera, a 48 MP ultrawide, and a 10.5 MP selfie shooter. The phone will arrive on August 13. It will be joined by the Google Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
With the launch date drawing near, we expect the leaks to intensify in the coming days. So stay tuned for much more!
