Nio Phone 2 is finally here. As promised, Nio unveiled its second smartphone today at its Innovation Day event in Shanghai. The Chinese electric vehicle maker is committed to its smartphone venture, releasing a new model only a year after its initial entry into the market.
A Deeper Dive into Car Integration
The Nio Phone 2 builds upon its predecessor’s strong foundation of car integration. The device retains the dedicated button for controlling connected car functions, but now offers customization options for long press actions.
Unlocking your Nio car is seamless with the Nio Phone 2, thanks to UWB and Bluetooth technology. This combination not only enhances security but also improves car location features. The phone can record parking space numbers and even help you find your car. NFC key support is another added convenience.
Nio Link, the feature allowing phone interactions through the car’s infotainment system, has been expanded. Users can now access a wider range of apps, including gallery, file management, office tools, and messaging platforms from their car’s screen.
