One cool thing we heard about was that Android 15 would make apps fill the whole screen. This means apps would use all the space on your phone, even the parts near the top and bottom. But now, it looks like this might not happen.

While some people thought Android 15 would force all apps to fill the screen, it turns out that app makers can choose. Android already has a way to make apps use the whole screen, but not all apps do this. There’s a good reason for this: some apps might look weird if they fill the whole screen. For example, buttons could get in the way.

To help app makers, Google has made it easier for them to make apps that fill the whole screen. But they don’t have to do it. So, we might not see all apps using the whole screen right away.

It will take time for most apps to change. Plus, Google might change its mind later and make it so all apps have to fill the whole screen. We’ll just have to wait and see!

Even if not all apps fill the whole screen, it’s still good news that Android is getting better. We can’t wait to see what else Android 15 can do!
