Until now, Samsung’s AI features, known as Galaxy AI, were exclusive to high-end Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series phones. The cheapest phone with Galaxy AI is currently the Galaxy S23 FE. But it seems that this is about to change.
One UI 6.1.1 Will Reportedly Bring Some Galaxy AI Features on The Mid-range Galaxy Devices
According to Sammobile’s sources, owners of the Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G will enjoy some of the benefits of the high-end devices. With the One UI 6.1.1 update, arriving in September, these mid-range phones will gain access to Galaxy AI.
However, it’s important to note that not all Galaxy AI features from top-tier phones will be available. The less powerful processors in the Galaxy A35 and A55 are the reason why. But it’s currently unclear which of the specific features will be missing.
Gizchina News of the week
The lower-end Galaxy S23 FE, for example, didn’t come with all the features that the high-end devices enjoyed. To illustrate, it didn’t come with the AI-powered slow-motion video creator. We may not see them come in the mid-range devices as well. However, these are not the onlyinteresting features that are available.
Samsung Galaxy AI offers a range of tools. These include a smart search function, a chat assistant, a photo editor, a live translator, and an interpreter app. You can learn more about these in the video attached below.
Another thing to note is that not all the mid-range devices are compatible, even if they have the same hardware as the two mentioned above. For example, the Galaxy A54, with the same processor as the A35, will miss out. Basically, Samsung plans to offer a light Galaxy AI experience to those who have bought the latest mid-range options.
Moreover, if these two are getting a taste of the AI features, we can expect the upcoming Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 to sport them as well.
