Samsung Testing One UI 7 on Mid-Range Devices, But There’s Bad News

One UI 7.0, based on Android 15, is highly anticipated by Samsung Galaxy smartphone and tablet users. Recent previews have showcased various updates, including design changes, new icons, quick settings enhancements, and more features. The beta program will start in late July 2024 for the Galaxy S24 series in selected countries.
Although the beta program has not yet commenced, testing may begin in the coming weeks. The update will cover many recent Samsung models, including the mid-range Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, which launched last spring. A new test firmware, build A556BXXU4BXGA, has been spotted on Samsung’s servers for the SM-A556B model, indicating a major update. This update transitions from Android 14 to Android 15 and from One UI 6.1 to One UI 7.0, progressing from version A556BXXS4AXF3.
Currently, there is uncertainty about the release of the One UI 7.0 beta. Initially, it was expected by the end of July, but recent rumors suggest a potential launch in the third week of August. However, some sources, like Ice Universe, claim there are no immediate plans for a release. These delays raise concerns about possible issues in the development of the new operating system.
As we await further updates, it is important to note that Google’s launch event will take place in August 13, 2024. This event may provide more insights into the development of Android 15. Meanwhile, Samsung continues to work on One UI 7.0, which will be available on numerous models by the fall.
In summary, while the beta release of One UI 7.0 faces delays, Samsung remains focused on delivering this update. Users can expect features and improvements once it is rolling out. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the fall release.
