The launch of Samsung’s One UI 7 update on Android 15 is delayed. But a recent changelog reveals all the changes Samsung plans to make. From the recent changelog, it seems the delay in the release of the One UI 7 update is worth the wait.

Samsung was supposed to launch its first Android 15 update by now. However, a slow rollout of the previous update is causing delays. Despite this, we are learning more about Samsung’s plans.

Changes include new icons, a split notification tray and Quick Settings, new homescreen and lockscreen optimizations, and a clone of Apple’s “Dynamic Island.” These features were seen in leaks, and now a reliable source has shared a detailed changelog.

  • New background interface
  • New control area at the bottom of the lock screen
  • Adjustment of shortcut icons in the left and right corners of the lock screen
  • Samsung may separate the Pull-down shortcut bar and notification, making them work independently.

  • Added interruptible animation, optimized app opening and closing animation

As mentioned, we have already seen many of these changes, but some new details have emerged. These include the new “page return” animation, new homescreen and lockscreen widgets, features for “large foldables,” and a “control area” on the lockscreen.

A New Gallery Icon in One UI 7One UI 7

In a separate post, Ice Universe mentions that the Gallery icon, which has been leaked several times, is undergoing changes. We expect Samsung to launch its first beta for One UI 7 later this month. The exact date is unclear, but current estimates suggest it could be around the third week of this month, possibly around August 19.
