Motorola is preparing to launch a new lineup of budget-friendly smartphones, with the Moto G35 expected to be a key addition. This device is linked to multiple model numbers: XT2433-1, XT2433-2, XT2433-3, XT2433-4, and XT2433-5, suggesting a range of variants.

Moto G35 Spotted in Geekbench with 5G Unisoc Chipset

The Geekbench listing reveals that the upcoming Moto G35 will be powered by the UNISOC T760 6nm 5G SoC. The new SoC features 4x ARM Cortex-A76 cores and 4x ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. These come paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC4 GPU. This chipset, which is already used in the HMD Crest series, is expected to deliver solid performance for a budget device. The benchmark also confirms that the phone will come with 8GB of RAM and will run on Android 14 out of the box.

Gizchina News of the week

While the Moto G34 5G was equipped with the Snapdragon 695 SoC the new device brings the Unisoc T760. It is worth noting, that Motorola is also set to introduce the Moto G45 5G in India next week. This one will feature the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. Given this, it’s unclear if the Moto G35 is intended for the Indian market or if it will be launched elsewhere. The Moto G45 5G sounds like a true successor for the G34 5G in terms of performance. The new G35, on the other hand, feels like a 5G upgrade possibly keeping the price.

In addition to the Geekbench details, the Moto G35 has also received EUT (test equipment) certification. It features model numbers XT2433-1 and XT2433-2 confirming the inclusion of NFC support. The certification further suggests that the device will feature a 5,000mAh battery and support for 20W fast charging.

As the official launch approaches, more information about the Moto G35 is likely to surface soon. It’s interesting to see one more budget smartphone coming with Unisoc’s new 5G chips. It’s one new addition to the market that will certainly help to popularize 5G smartphones in the low-end market.
