Honor has faced delays in bringing the Honor Magic V2 to Europe, as it was initially launched in July 2023 but only reached the European market in late January 2024. However, the company has committed to a quicker rollout for its successor, the Honor Magic V3, which will debut at IFA 2024 in September.
Honor Magic V3’s Global Launch at IFA
Honor is expected to showcase three significant devices at the IFA event. The Honor Magic V3, the Honor MagicPad 2, and the Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024. The launch event will take place on September 5, right before IFA 2024 officially begins.
The Honor Magic V3 stands out in the foldable phone market due to its remarkably slim design. Measuring just 9.2mm thick and weighing 226g. This makes it comparable to standard bar phones like the Galaxy S24 Ultra (8.6mm, 232g) and the iPhone 15 Pro Max (8.3mm, 221g). In contrast, foldable devices like the Galaxy Z Fold6 (12.1mm, 239g) and Pixel 9 Pro Fold (10.5mm, 257g) are bulkier.

IFA 2024 Highlights: Honor Magic V3, MagicPad 2 & More
Despite its slim profile, the Magic V3 comes with powerful hardware. Including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a substantial 5,150mAh battery. Additionally, it features an impressive camera system. Boasting a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 3.5x periscope lens, and a 40MP ultra-wide lens. However, the premium features of the Honor Magic V3 suggest that it will likely come with a high price tag, potentially following the pricing trend set by its predecessor, the Honor Magic V2, which was priced at £1,700/€2,000. There is no official word yet on whether the more affordable Magic Vs3 will also be available globally.
In addition to the Magic V3, Honor will also introduce the Honor MagicPad 2 and the Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024. The MagicPad 2 offers a 12.3-inch 144Hz OLED display with IMAX Enhanced certification. A Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, eight speakers, and a 10,050mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
The Honor MagicBook Art 14 2024 is another notable device. Featuring a slim and lightweight design at 12.95mm thick and weighing 1.03kg. It sports a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a unique detachable webcam module. You can configure the laptop with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Ultra 7 155H processor, Intel Arc graphics, up to 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
Honor has also launched a teaser page where users can fill out a questionnaire for a chance to win an Honor Magic V3.
