First Look: Moto G Power 5G (2025) – Triple Cameras and Sleek Design

Motorola introduced the Moto G Power back in 2020, marking the start of a successful series known for its robust battery life and solid performance. Earlier this year, the company revitalized the lineup with the Moto G Power 5G (2024), bringing in upgraded features to meet modern demands. Now, a recent leak hints at yet another update in the works, expected to launch next year under the obvious Moto G Power 5G (2025) moniker. The leaked image showcases a redesigned back panel, offering a fresh look compared to the current Moto G Power 5G (2024) model.

The Moto G Power 5G (2025) might come with an additional rear camera, enhancing its photographic capabilities. A concept render shared by 91mobiles reveals a new Motorola device bearing the model number Vegas XT2515-1. This model number closely mirrors that of the Moto G Power 5G (2024), which is labeled XT2415-1. The similarity in the numbers, particularly the progression from ’24’ to ’25,’ suggests that the Vegas XT2515-1 could indeed be the Moto G Power 5G (2025). It sparks speculation about its features and improvements.

Moto G Power 5G (2025) with Triple-camera setup and Vegan Leather Finish

The leaked image reveals that the upcoming Moto G Power 5G (2025) might feature a triple-camera setup on the back, marking a significant upgrade from the dual-camera configuration seen in the 2024 model, which includes a 50 MP main sensor and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. The camera module also sports a refreshed design, echoing the aesthetics of Motorola’s recent Edge series, such as the Moto Edge 50 Pro.

There’s speculation that the back panel could be made from vegan leather, although the image quality isn’t clear enough to confirm this. However, given that the budget-friendly Moto G45 5G already features a vegan leather back, this possibility seems credible.

Despite these upgrades, the Moto G Power 5G (2025) appears to maintain a flat display. It will have a pronounced chin and a flat middle frame, consistent with its predecessor. From the front and sides, the design shows little change, sticking closely to the aesthetic of the 2024 model.

As of now, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) is only available in North America. There’s no word on whether the 2025 model will see a wider global release. Additionally, details about the specifications for the upcoming device remain under wraps.

For reference, the current model features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution. It includes a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide camera on the back. There is also a 16 MP front-facing camera. The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 30W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

We expect more details to appear later, after all, the device seems to be months away from its release.
