The popular insider billbil-kun has a solid track record when it comes to revealing PlayStation Plus Games. He also made some interesting reveals about new AAA games, consoles, and ports ahead of their respective launches. The latest info coming from the insider brings some exciting news about the PS5 Pro. Sony’s next upgrade to the PlayStation lineup is coming soon, and the tipster brought some tidbits about the console’s specs and the new design. Since he couldn’t reveal the console in all its glory, he brought us a design sketch that gave us a clear idea of how the final product would look.
In a publication on Dealabs, billbil-kun revealed a PS5 Pro sketch that shows the cover with three stripes. Sony will opt for delivering the console with two USB-C ports in the front part, alongside the power on button. Curiously, the images don’t show a disc reader. It suggests that consumers will need to buy the disc reader separately as it has been on sale since the launch of the PS5 Slim Digital Edition. Talking about the PS5 Slim, the new model follows the design language of the latest model. Considering this design, it might be possible to use the same covers made for the PS5 Slim.
The insider also believes that the PS5 Pro will come with the regular DualSense instead of the Edge version. It is not a deal-breaker but comes to bury some old rumors pointing to the inclusion of the DualSense Edge in the PS5 Pro package. Therefore, the Edge will keep being a separate premium option for more exigent players.
PS5 Pro Might Bring 2 TB Versions; Will Be Cooler and More Efficient
The week has been hectic when it comes to the PS5 Pro. Earlier, the YouTuber MooresLawIsDead shared some details about the console. According to him, the PS5 Pro will come with a 2 TB SSD which doubles the standard offered by the first PS5 units. Although that may sound promising, the YouTuber states that, currently, the 2 TB Storage has been spotted in the Dev Kit units. Therefore, it’s unclear if the new storage version will make its way to the end consumer. We hope so because 1 TB is not enough for current game standards.
The insider also states that the new hardware will be quieter and cooler than the standard PS5 Pro. This has nothing to do with the console’s new power, as the consumption won’t be affected by the new hardware. You can see all the details in the video below:
