Vivo Y300 Pro Debuts as New Mid-range Phone with Large 6,500 mAh Battery

Vivo Y300 Pro

Vivo has just unveiled its latest mid-range offering, the Y300 Pro. This new smartphone is a direct successor to the Y200 Pro, which came out earlier this year. Despite the short time between releases, the Y300 Pro comes with some significant upgrades.

Vivo Y300 Pro Brings Many Improvements Over the Predecessor

The Y300 Pro packs the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, which offers a significant boost in performance over its predecessor. This new phone comes with 8 GB/128 GB of memory as standard, but users can opt for higher configurations of up to 12 GB/512 GB.

As for the display on the Y300 Pro, it has also seen an upgrade, to a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This offers a smoother and more responsive experience when scrolling through apps or playing games. The display also supports 10-bit color depth and can reach a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.

The Y300 Pro features a dual-camera setup on the back, which is headlined by a 50 MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. This is a significant upgrade over the 48 MP main sensor that’s on the Y200 Pro. The secondary sensor is a 2 MP depth sensor.

On the front, the Y300 Pro has a 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. This is a big improvement over the 16 MP selfie camera on the Y200 Pro.

But the main highlight of the phone is the battery. The Y300 Pro packs a massive 6,500 mAh battery, which is a significant upgrade over the 5,000 mAh battery that’s on the Y200 Pro. This should provide users with all-day battery life, even with heavy usage. The phone also supports 80W wired charging, which allows it to be fully charged in just a few minutes.

The Y300 Pro also features an IP65 for dust and water resistance. This is an improvement over the IP54 rating on the Y200 Pro.

Pricing and Availability Details of the New Mid-range Phone

The Y300 Pro is available in four colors: Black, Ocean Blue, Titanium, and White. The entry-level 8 GB/128 GB model costs CNY 1,799 ($250), while the top-of-the-line 12 GB/512 GB model costs CNY 2,499 ($350).
