OnePlus has confirmed that its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13, will launch in October. This news comes from Louis Lee, President of OnePlus China. He revealed the launch timeline during a recent interview.

The OnePlus 13 is expected to be a proper successor to the OnePlus 12. And if you’re unaware, the OnePlus 12 is considered to be one of the best phones in the company to date. So, there are high hopes for the upcoming phone.

More specifically, the OnePlus 13 is likely to launch shortly after the official announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is expected to happen in mid-to-late October. Xiaomi is also expected to announce a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone right after the SoC’s announcement.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to offer significant performance improvements over its predecessor. Qualcomm promises faster speeds, better power efficiency, and enhanced AI capabilities. For those considering to upgrading their phone, these could be worth the wait.

As for the OnePlus 13, Louis Lee says that it has shown impressive gaming performance during testing. The device maintained a smooth 120 FPS while playing the popular game Genshin Impact. This is a testament to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset’s performance enhancements to the phone.
