After launching in China earlier this year, Meizu is now taking its new Note 21 and Note 21 Pro phones to global markets. These mid-range models offer solid specs at a likely lower cost, joined by the Meizu 21, which had been a China-only release. Here’s what each phone brings to the table.
Meizu Note 21 and Note 21 Pro Specs
Both the Meizu Note 21 and Note 21 Pro are equipped with expansive displays featuring FHD+ resolution. The Note 21 offers a 6.74-inch screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the Pro model enhances the display to 6.78 inches with a smoother 120Hz refresh rate. For selfie purposes, the Note 21 includes an 8MP front-facing camera, whereas the Pro model upgrades to a 13MP sensor.
On the rear, the Note 21 is fitted with a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. The Note 21 Pro advances the rear camera setup to a 64MP main sensor, retaining the same 2MP depth sensor.
Meizu has not disclosed the specific chipset powering the Note 21, but the Note 21 Pro operates on the MediaTek Helio G99, a processor commonly found in budget-conscious smartphones. Both models include 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD cards.
Despite Meizu’s recent emphasis on AI technology, there is no mention of AI-powered features for either device. Nevertheless, it is expected that both phones will run on Meizu’s FlymeOS.
