The Google Pixel 9 series has just started to hit the shelves. However, we already have rumors about the upcoming series. A report from July suggested that the Tensor G5 of the Google Pixel 10 series will be manufactured by TSMC instead of Samsung. Now, a new rumor has reinforced it.
TSMC Will Likely Produce Both the Tensor G5 of Google Pixel 10 and the Tensor G6 of Google Pixel 11
Google announced the Pixel 9 series on August 13. The new Android flagship phones have just begun to hit the shelves. However, ahead of this launch event, we started to see rumors about the Pixel 10 series surface. One of the recent reports suggested that the Tensor G5 would be manufactured by TSMC.
So far, the company has been sticking to Samsung Foundry. All the past Tensor chips are Exynos-based. That includes the Tensor G4. A new rumor has now reinforced the report from July, stating that TSMC and Google have already started the full-scale production of the Tensor G5 that will be in the Pixel 10 lineup.

This comes from Business Korea, and the outlet says that the Tensor G5 will be produced with a 3 nm node. This matches what the report from July claimed, but it’s still unclear which node it will be. As speculated earlier, it could either be the N3E or N3P, but the possibility of the former is higher than the latter.
A recent rumor has also suggested that Google’s Tensor G6, which is expected for the Pixel 11 lineup, will be manufactured on a 2 nm node of TSMC. This again suggests that a switch from Samsung to TSMC is extremely likely. But again, all these are in the rumor stage. There aren’t any concrete details available yet. So, you should take these with a pinch of salt.
