Samsung India recently launched the Galaxy F05, following the release of the Galaxy M05, which was essentially a rebranded Galaxy A05. While the F05 may have a different exterior design, it shares the same internal specifications as the M05 and A05 models.
Samsung Galaxy F05 Specifications and Features
What sets the Galaxy F05 apart is its leather-textured back panel, giving the phone a unique, stylish look. At the moment, it appears that the device is only available in a single color, called Twilight Blue, adding a touch of elegance to its design. Despite the distinct appearance, the internal hardware remains unchanged from its counterparts.
The Galaxy F05 features a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, capable of recording 1080p video at 60fps. It also has a 2MP depth sensor, while the front houses an 8MP selfie camera. This camera setup mirrors that of the Galaxy A05 and M05, making it familiar territory for those models.
On the front, the F05 sports a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels, running at 60Hz. It ships with Android 14 pre-installed, and Samsung promises two major OS upgrades, ensuring longevity for users looking to update their devices. The Galaxy F05 runs on the older Helio G85 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM that can be expanded virtually to 8 GB. The Helio G85 is a mid-range processor from MediaTek, designed to offer decent performance in budget smartphones. Released in 2020, it features an octa-core setup with two Cortex-A75 cores for handling more demanding tasks and six Cortex-A55 cores for power efficiency. This balance makes it a solid option for daily use, such as browsing, social media, and light gaming. Its Mali-G52 GPU can handle casual gaming reasonably well but may struggle with more demanding games at higher settings.

The smartphone also has 64GB of internal storage, further expandable via a dedicated microSD slot. Additionally, it retains a 3.5mm headphone jack for traditional audio needs. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W charging, though a charger is not included—only a USB C-to-C cable and SIM ejector tool are provided. It supports Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.3, and comes with FM radio (including a recording feature), but lacks NFC and infrared. The Galaxy F05 is a 4G-only device, adding basic connectivity options.
