Huawei has launched its latest flagship tablet to the global market. It’s the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2, the company’s first tablet with a dual-layer OLED screen solution. This tablet first made its debut in China last month, and now Huawei is bringing it to more regions.

The MatePad Pro 12.2 comes in two elegant colors: Premium Gold and Black. This Gold variant is particularly striking. Huawei was inspired by traditional silk paintings for this colorway. Huawei has used Silk Weaving craftsmanship to give the tablet a unique, organic silk fabric feel.
As for the design, this new tablet measures 182.53 x 271.25 x 5.5mm and weighs 508 grams. It features a stunning 12.2 Tandem OLED PaperMatte screen. This panel has a 2800 x 1840 pixels resolution, 274 PPI, 1.07 billion colors, a P3 wide color gamut, and 2000 nits peak brightness.

Moreover, the dual-layer OLED screen enhances durability and reduces power consumption by 30%. Paired with PaperMatte technology, you get a smoother, paper-like feel for a more comfortable stylus experience.
Other than that, the device packs a non-removable 10100mAh battery. It supports 100W SuperCharge wired charging and Turbocharging technology. This allows the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 to change to 85% in 40 minutes and 100% in 55 minutes. The Smart Power Conserve feature ensures the tablet remains ready for use even after extended periods of inactivity.
As for the software, the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 runs on the HarmonyOS 4.2 operating system. The SoC it packs is the Kirin 9010W, and it is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
Pricing and Availability
Huawei hasn’t confirmed the global pricing of the MatePad Pro 12.2 yet. However, it is expected to available from October with the starting price at €999 (about $1115).
